Miranda follows a vagrant named Chris into the city streets to play chicken with cars, thinking it could be the break she needs from her overwhelming job and dependent boyfriend. When that's proven false, Miranda rips apart her old life in desperation. She leaves her boyfriend for his best friend, and they begin to play an even more dangerous game of chicken -- with a fatal end.
